WMSO is delighted to be joining forces with the Maidenhead Choral Society and the Royal Free Singers to present this great choral work. While Verdi is most famous for his operas, his dramatic skills have been put to good use in his requiem. Verdi uses vigorous rhythms, sublime melodies and dramatic contrasts to express the powerful emotions engendered by the text. The work is scored for a large orchestra, including off stage brass, double choir and four soloists, and should be a very memorable concert.
